Icicles Romania's location in South-Eastern Europe gives it a temperate-continental climate. Cold winters often bring heavy snowfall, and last from December to March. The transition from spring to summer is very quick, with hot summers lasting from April to July. Annual rainfall is approximately 1000mm, which is similar to central parts of the UK.
